Mum's gola roti

Recipe makes two big gola rutis. Mix 2/3 cup whole wheat four with 2/3 cup 2% milk. Mix. Add a little more water until consistency is like pancake batter, thick but pours. Whisk out the lumps. Add a pinch of baking powder, chilli powder and salt. Heat a pan with some olive oil and spread the batter over it once hot. Pour batter and jiggle the pan a bit to get it to spread. Don't make it ultra thin because then it will tear. Once dark brown spots develop on one side, flip and cook until dark brown spots appear on the other side. Roti will fluff a bit. Texture is really soft and delicious. Great plain with a little ghee and salt or as a wrap for taco filling or as a breakfast egg wrap. Serve with chopped lanka.
