Tinted lip balm

Melt a little shae butter and mix with some beet root powder. The more color you want, the more powder you should put in. Super simple, great for chapped lips. Adds a nice rosy glow.

Natural lotion

Before you start, make sure everything is clean, I wipe everything down with rubbing alcohol first. Boil a pot of water on the stove, put a mason jar in there, make sure the lip of the jar is above the water level so water doesn't get into the jar. Alternatively, put the jar you're going to use for the lotion directly onto a candle burner and put the ingredients in there (less mess, preferred method).
Put 1/4 cup of pure shae butter and 2 tbsp of jojoba oil in there. Let it melt. Mix it, let it sit out. After it cools a bit, you can add essential oils for scent if you want. It will solidify in a day or so, or stick it in the fridge for quick setting, it will remain solid at room temp. If you want to make the sunscreen version, just do the same thing, and add 1 tbsp zinc oxide (non-nano).
This makes a really thick lotion, so it's not pourable, put it in a shallow jar or something that you can scoop out of. It's really rich and moisturizing, and great for acne-prone skin. The whiter one is the sunscreen version which we use during the day. The other one is the regular version, which we use at night. A little bit of these goes a long way since they contain no water, so it lasts for ages. I only make it about twice a year.
