Masala oats

This is great if you feel like oats, but don't want a sweet preparation. In a hot pan, put a little ghee, sautee minced garlic in there. Add some veggies (broccoli, peas, bit of greens, whatever you want) and generous curry leaves. Add in 1/4 cup of steel cut oats per person, and 1.5 cups of water per person. Add sambar spice mix, I like to add extra turmeric too. Let it cook at a low simmer for about 25 min. Can top with extra ghee if you're feeling luxurious :)
